Cremains Burial Assistance
If a funeral home is not handling the cremains burial, you can work directly with us.
The burial fee covers a small open/close charge from our local contractor,
who ensures all interment regulations are followed,
as well as a $250 fee for ongoing care of the site
(see Prices).
To schedule a burial, please contact us (see Contacts) to confirm a date or ask questions. Complete the Burial Plan form and send it with a check payable to "Rose Hill Cemetery," or email the requested information to LamoniRoseHillSexton@gmail.com. with the requested information on the form. If possible, include a copy of the obituary and a photo of your loved one.
Please note: Our service is limited to opening and closing the grave. We do not provide service planning, tents, or chairs, although we do cover the dig site to make it respectable and safe. If you need to purchase a lot, we can assist.

Updating Headstone Engravings
If a headstone is already in place but needs additional engraving for a name or date,
start by contacting the monument company that installed it. They can tell
you whether engraving costs were pre-paid (typically not). You can also check
with the funeral home that handled the original arrangements for information.
It may cost $100–$200 for something simple.
Engraving is usually done on-site by a specialist using portable sandblasting equipment. Some monument companies don't have this on-site capability and subcontract the work. It can take several months to be done.
Hull Monument Service does on-site engraving. Visit their website (Monument Companies above) or contact Rob Hull at etchinghullengraving@gmail.com for pricing and scheduling.
You can also contact Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home (see Funeral Homes above) to be added to their engraver's next scheduled visit, which is often quicker.
Once you've made arrangements, please email us at LamoniRoseHill@gmail.com so we can stay informed.

Repairing Headstones
Over time, headstones may lean, sink, or shift out of place due to weather, soil movement, or age.
If your family monument needs attention, contact any monument company to assess whether a
simple reset will solve the problem or if more extensive repair is needed.
Minor adjustments may cost little, while replacing a large foundation can exceed $1,500.
The company that installed the stone may charge less—or even nothing—to stand by their work.
A local contractor helps repair sunken, leaning, or toppled stones in the oldest sections, funded by grants, donations, and limited cemetery funds. Families may also request to have their monument added to the repair list, often at a lower cost than hiring a monument company directly. Contact us if interested.
Hull Monument Service advertises on-site repair work on their website. Contact them at hullmonumentservice@gmail.com or call Rob Hull at 641-203-2439. Upright Gravestone Restoration by Stacy & Dan Dougherty also does repairs (see their Facebook page). Contact them at stacydougherty4@gmail.com or call 660-853-1772
After your repair is scheduled, please let us know at at LamoniRoseHill@gmail.com so we can stay informed and update our records.
