Lamoni Rose Hill Cemetery
General Contributions
Contributions help us maintain Rose Hill Cemetery. Unrestricted contributions give us the greatest flexibility to use where needed most. Our annual budget is based on anticipated income from lot sales, burials, grants, and annual interest earned in our trust fund. Such income and expenses can fluctuate during the year and certain needs may get put on hold. Donations help fill these needs. Volunteers
Volunteers who comb though the cemetery to pick up trash and debris, especially before holidays like Memorial Day or Veterans Day, are welcome. Broken branches can be moved out of the way and stacked under a tree or by the roadway. Whatever trash you gather needs to be taken with you since we have no trash service. Let us know of your willingness to help in this way. We have other need for volunteers too, including on-line research and on-site visits to verify that our records are complete and correct. Special Projects - Leaning Gravestones
A multi-year project that we have been working on is to fix the leaning, sunken and fallen gravestones in the oldest part of the cemetery. We have sought grants that matched what we and our donors have with great effect. For other headstones that are leaning, family members can contact the monument company who they had install it or a different monument company to fix it. If such is the case for one of your family's headstones then please contact us to get our recommendations and explore how we can help in some way at LamoniRoseHill@gmail.com.
Large Donations and Naming Opportunities
We hope that those making large donations will allow their names to be included on signage or other publications. If not we will use "Anonymous" as the donor name in such cases. Donations that total more than $1000 are candidates for inclusion on signage for that and higher levels of giving. Other "naming" opportunities may be possible, for example, naming cemetery roads or road segments for at least $25K donations.
